Select a general topic of interest, such as the family, crime, the environment, or politics. (Please choose a topic other than the one you are using for your final research proposal) 2. Locate one article on this topic that employs experimental methods, one that uses survey methods, one that uses qualitative methods, and one that uses some other method (e.g., historical, comparative, content analysis). 3. Read (skim through) all four articles. Outline the strengths and weaknesses in each. You could create a table with each of the types of research methodology.
